LENAWEE is first in our heartsFUNDSLenawee Community FoundationLENAWEE FUNDSThe Lenawee Funds are multi-purpose and flexible tomeet current and emerging needs. Donors may invest inthe Lenawee Funds if they believe that a group of livingindividuals will always be better able to assess currentsituations than a document from the past. These fundsare designed to meet emerging community needs, respondto change, create innovative approaches and enhance thequality of life in Lenawee County. After the LenaweeCommunity Foundation Board of Directors evaluates allaspects of community well-being, grants are given to areaswhere your investment will achieve the most good.Lenawee Leadership FundLenawee FundFIELD OF INTEREST FUNDSA Field of Interest Fund allows a donor to invest in broad areas, such as health, youth, the arts, services to seniors, economic development or whatever charitable issue thedonor chooses. Donors may also support their home community, where local advisorycommittees make recommendations for grants. A personal interest area is identifiedwhen the gift is made, and then the Lenawee Community Foundation Board ofDirectors makes grants to nonprofit programs that are making a difference in thespecified area.Adrian Area FundHudson Area FundBlissfield Area FundThomas & Ellen Hummel Adrian Area FundBritton-Macon Area FundKellogg Youth FundClinton Area FundV.C. & Velma Knight Memorial FundDeerfield Area FundLenawee Cares Health & Human Services FundEarly Childhood Development FundLenawee College Access Endowment FundPatrick Gill Empty Bowls FundMorenci Area FundHealthy Youth Healthy Seniors FundOnsted Area FundHealthy Lenawee 2020 FundGeorge W. Donors share insights and makerecommendations regarding potential grant recipients. The donor’s suggestions must be reviewed and approved by the CommunityFoundation Board. A Donor Advised Fund acts much like a private foundation, however it is easier to establish, less expensive tooperate and less restrictive in distributions, payouts and investments.Adrian Steel FundFrank & Shirley S.
